Unbalanced wheels produce vibration uncomfortable to drivers and passengers and results in premature wear of tyres, steering components and suspension. The first sign your wheels are out of balance is when your steering wheel starts to wobble at certain speeds.
Balancing wheels correctly helps to eliminate vibration and give you a smoother, more comfortable ride.
Wheels are balanced on either a wheel balancing machine or on the vehicle using special equipment. The wheel and tyre assembly is rotated and the machine calculated the amount of weight and position of the counter balance weight.
The advantage of a good wheel alignment is a smooth, comfortable ride, your tyres will wear more evenly and thus last longer, giving you more miles between changes. It is also important that wheel alignment is checked and corrected if necessary.
